I look a bit unhappy/camera shy in these photos, and it’s purely because i’d suffered with some pretty bad wisdom tooth swelling, and one side of my face was all swollen and crappy. I actually had it through all of Port Eliot fest but it seemed to flare up worse on my first day in Barcelona – probably flying stress and early mornings/lack of sleep what not. Either way, this dress was just too pretty not to photograph, so hopefully you can look beside my slightly grumpy/wonky no makeup face!
I know I feel like i’m always constantly wearing the same shoes and sunglasses and carrying around the same stuff, but i’m not really very good at being one of those bloggers that wears stuff just for being sent it. Reality is that I don’t really get sent much in the way of clothes and what not, and I do that for a reason – I like to go and buy things, and have the satisfaction of wearing them all Summer (ie: the sandals) and knowing that they were either a great buy, or not such a wise decision. I only accept clothes from brands I actually like and actively buy from myself. So far, these insanely cheap sandals were an amazing buy. At just £24 ish from New Look, I couldn’t resist them, and I know they’re not on sale anymore (? I don’t think..) but it’s always good to know that putting a little bit of money into a cheap piece will actually last pretty well instead of falling to pieces.
Another day, another Missguided dress. I was actually talking to the girls from Missguided over a meeting the other day that I feel so much happier with the new Missguided. The work that they’ve put into that brand over the last few years is amazing – notably at the hands of Sara – and it’s transformed the brand from a bit of a tacky cheap brand into a trend led, editorial fashion destination that I feel proud buying from and actually adore pretty much everything they have on the site.
I absolutely love this little pom pom fringe number and it made for insanely comfortable wear whilst walking the busy city streets of Barcelona in the late 20 degrees. Oh and hey, I think i’ve totally got the fashion blogger walking-whilst-outfit-snapping pose nailed, right? Just need to smile next time…
