monthly favourites – february 2010

Afternoon! I really must get into the swing of blogging much more often, i’m quite useless. I can only apologise! Firstly, wow. Thank you SO much to all followers. I only created this blog two and a half weeks ago and I am over the moon that 2 people want to read it let alone 40! It honestly means the world to me and I love writing passionately knowing there are people reading and enjoying what i’m writing. So thankyou millions!

So as I said above, February is the first month in which i’ve been blogging so this is my first ever monthly favourites post. I know some of the products may be things in which you’ve heard about before but they’ve been at the forefront of my beauty regime and life for the last four weeks and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base and Top Coat
I honestly have the worst nails. They do grow quickly which is a blessing but they’re thin and flimsy and they tend to peel from the tips. I want to purchase OPI’s Nail Envy but i don’t have the money at the moment really so when browsing in Superdrug at the start of Feb this caught my eye. I’ve used it as a base coat every single day since and my nails have improved by leaps and bounds! I’d definitely recommend this for a base coat. I do use it for a top coat as well which is a good money saver but when I get paid i’d like to purchase a different top coat, just one with a little more staying power and a bit more shine.

The Comforter – Lush Bubble Bar
This is all I have left of this i’m afraid hence the funny looking photo. I’ve tried a few bubble bars and this is by far my favourite! I only need the tiniest amount and it makes a full bath full of silky smooth bubbles. Not only that but it turns my bath water BRIGHT pink! It’s brilliant. More expensive than bubble bath but it smells divine and it’s a lovely treat to come home to after a long day at work.

 (such gorgeous colours!)

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Facial Wash
This was one of the first things I think I ever really found through reading other blogs. I read all the posts surrounding this, it might have been lollipop26 who found it? Anyway I have combination skin and anything that helps this and makes my make up application smoother is something I’m definitely interested in buying. So I picked this up (actually before Christmas, cheeky) and i’ve been using it as a daily wash ever since. It is brilliant and makes my skin feel baby soft smooth! I will be repurchasing this as you can see mine is on it’s last legs!

(It’s very thick!)

MAC Sumptuous Olive Eyeshadow
So if you do read my blog you’ll have seen that I only got this in the last week or so of Feb but oh my, it’s easily one of my favourite MAC eyeshadows already. It’s just green enough to compliment any other of my shades but not green enough to be over powering. It’s very golden on my skin and appears as more of a goldy green. I know this is a cheeky feb favourite as it’s so new but I love it so!

So what are my plans for March?
I’ve got some Uni work to be done (as per!) but i’m working on a huge piece at the moment and I want to complete sketchbooks and things full of ideas. I’m painting faces and working with make up for a change, i’ll post some of my face charts and things if anyones interested.
We’re going to see Alice in Wonderland at the IMAX!
Photographing a few gigs including Frank Turner, Chris T-T as well as some others.
My little sister turns 18!

And whatever else happens, I believe in spontaneity, keeps life exciting! Plus i’m dreadful at planning.

Do you rate any of my February faves? Can you recommend any variations on the above to me? What are your plans for March? Leave me a comment, I love to read them!
Zoe xoxo
