Not that kind, Zayn, but Charlotte Tilbury’s kind! The humble Pillow Talk Lip Liner by Charlotte Tilbury has been the talk of the town for a while now, and it’s incredibly well loved by beauty addicts and lipstick lovers alike. To add to her already existing popular Matte Revolution lipstick range, Pillow Talk has been made into a lipstick format, and I think you’re going to absolutely love it. Let’s get to know it a little better.
Charlotte Tilbury describes her Matte Revolution lipstick range as a buildable lipstick, with colour that ‘glides on easily and precisely, thanks to the specially shaped square-tip, inspired by the classic shape of a lip brush.’ It might seem like an odd shape lipstick bullet to get used to, but as soon as you try using it you’ll immediately love it. On some of my older ones, i’ve worn away the original square shape, and I totally miss it!
Onto the formula itself, it’s a soft satin matte, meaning it doesn’t dry out the lips like a full matte. It does dry down to a matte finish, but it has a little sheen too. I don’t mind this, it looks very natural and like Charlotte says, it’s buildable whether you want a soft looking stain or a full matte lip. Pillow Talk is a nude pink that will look flattering on any skin tone. No, really. Charlotte Tilbury has a full wardrobe of swatches on it on every skin tone on the website, too.
I’m a bonafide liquid lipstick addict. I’d be the first to admit it. But wearing liquid lipstick all day long every day isn’t viable because after a while your lips get dry and sore, especially if you are prone to that in winter anyway. I find that I put on a liquid lipstick and then eat food, talk a lot and generally wear it for much too long. I know it’s bad for my lips but i’m hooked! Anyway, i’m trying to wear lipstick more that gives me the look of liquid lips without having to dry my lips out. I’m pretty certain Pillow Talk is going to be just that for me, and i’ve been loving wearing it recently.
I think it can be so overwhelming to start with a new beauty brand, and Pillow Talk is such a good all rounder for a Charlotte Tilbury newbie. I started out with Pillow Talk in lip liner form, and i’ve had that for a while now. It’s amazing, but it definitely needed the lipstick counterpart to make it a full lip look without being too drying. I honestly couldn’t recommend Pillow Talk in lipstick and lip liner form more, and even though they are a little pricey, Charlotte Tilbury is such a beautiful and luxurious brand to use. I always feel pretty when using these products.
I do think Pillow Talk is going to be incredibly popular, and I can see it selling out pretty fast. As far as i’m aware it’s come out with the launch of another new lipstick called Valentine, which is a bit more shiny and less matte. They were released a couple of weeks ago, and of course I snapped it up almost as soon as.
So there we go! A little insight into Pillow Talk in it’s new lipstick format, and I hope you found this useful!
I adore this lipstick and I hope you do too. If you want to shop the product click on the little pictures of them further up the post, and let me know in the comments what you think of this shade and the Matte Revolution type of lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury. Enjoy!
