Nobody ever said it was easy. One day you might be sat in front of the TV without too much to worry for, and the next minute in the blink of an eye you’re hastily throwing things into a bag and rushing out of London to a hospital ward for a family emergency. Life isn’t meant to be a walk in the park, it’s meant to have turns, twists, testing times. The more you experience the more you learn.
It’s also not about wasting time on the small things, the material pieces, the junk in your cupboard. It’s about seeing places, meeting people, laughing until you physically can’t anymore. About telling silly stories over late dinners in the warm air. About not holding onto that small thing that annoyed you, but letting it free and de-clouding your mind of negativity. About supporting people, your friends, your online companions – but never getting so sucked up into the rat race you don’t support or cherish your family members. Your blood, your heart and the most wonderful people in your life. About not changing into a bitter human, who judges others on how they choose to live their lives.
It’s about jumping into the lake even though you know it’s cold. It’s about booking that flight even though you know it’s the last of your cash. Doing those things that scare you, that keep your blood warm and your mind alive. Don’t waste time doing things you hate, don’t waste time on people who wont support or give you the love you need. Don’t hold back on things you’re too afraid to try. Try them, just once – you’ll be fine. Don’t hold grudges and don’t live with regret.
Above all, love. Love everything you see and everything you have in your life so fervently it encompasses you – especially those family members. They’ll always be there for you, but then one day, they wont. Don’t regret time not spent.
My week has been less than ideal, and my blog has been quieter than i’d like. I can only apologise for that. I dropped everything because my family come first before anything. My blog has suffered, but the love in my heart has not. Everything is fine for now, but the future is uncertain. Life isn’t just about stuff, and things. Never forget that. Have a great week.
