I am fully aware that some of you have been planning Christmas since Halloween ended, have already made all your purchases and probably already have them wrapped under the tree. Damn you. Damn you you wonderfully organised human beings. I very purposefully have left a super easy gift guide right up until the very same week as Christmas. “Why Zoe, is that not really stupid?” I hear you cry. Not at all. For a lot of us, today is the last day in the office – or the first day off from the office, and that means one thing. Christmas Shopping. Or, you’ve just been the busiest woman ever this year (like me) and have only until now to do it. Well let’s not waste time now, let’s go!

Makeup and nail polish are the easiest things to grab from the high street when doing last minute Christmas shopping. In fact, they are my go-to last minute amazing present that the lucky recipient will adore. Why? Because absolutely every girl ever (even beauty obsessed ones like me) still love the feeling of new, beautiful makeup. This year has been amazing for beauty launches around the holiday season and a huge favourite of mine is the Bobbi Brown Scotch On The Rocks collection, that of which i’ve featured the palette and one of the lipsticks here. The whole collection is beautiful though and I do hope to blog about it properly soon (if it doesn’t disappear too quickly!)
I also think Urban Decay are pretty much Kings of the Christmas gift scene, with so many different gifts to choose from – they’re a damn easy go to when you’re running out of time. Every single one of their gifts is unique and gorgeous, with my two faves being the Shadow Box as it’s small and fairly inexpensive compared to other palettes, and the little mini Double Ended Eye Pencil Set.
The Bourjois gift box is worth noting because personally I think this is a Christmas steal. It’s not a gift set per se but it’s a gift with purchase, meaning if you pop into Boots and buy £15 of Bourjois makeup (that new lipstick and mascara for Christmas Day for yourself yes) you get this seriously adorable gift set free. It’s got a lipstick, mascara, eyeshadow set and nail polish inside it and it’s just adorable! I love it. I’m coveting it as this year’s lazy girl Christmas ‘hack.’ You’re welcome.

My god, this category could go on for days and days! There are so many beautiful things out there on the high street I sorta had to avert my eyes or I would have gone crazy wanting them all. So what i’ve done is i’ve focussed on stuff that me, as a coloured hair and avid skincare/bath lover girlie would love to get in my stocking. I’ve properly narrowed it down to my favourite things and they’re a real mixed bag! I gotta start with the L’Occitane candle, as you can possibly see in the photo it’s been burned. I’ve had it for most of the year now and it makes my house smell gorgeous. I adore it.
If you’re new to this blog (hiya) you might not have heard about my love affair with Liz Earle’s Cleanse and Polish. Well don’t tell George cos it’s my one true love. I have no idea what number bottle i’m on in my lifetime at the minute – maybe over ten? wow – and I know this is a gift I would absolutely love to receive on Christmas Day. Something else that I was so pleased to see this year for the first time is a little gift set from my homeboys Fudge Urban, with the best shampoo in the world. Okay so i’m a little biased as a Fudge Urban Ambassador, but I haven’t used any other shampoo/conditioner this year other than this one, and you know you lot keep asking me why my hair is so thick and shiny? Say hello to my little friends.
Last but not least, Bleach London pulled it right out of the bag this year with some kickass gifts that any 90s, kooky hair dye girl would die for. I particularly loved this truth or dare spin the bottle gift set, with all mini’s of their hair dye in. I think a lot of teens would adore this and I know if it had been around when I was a teen I would have cried with joy at having it. Finally a gift from a cool auntie or cousin who understands my teenage need to dye hair!
