Now I do love to do a bit of nail art, i’m sure you will have seen in the past – but at the minute i’m a little bit rushed off my feet and don’t have a lot of time to do nail art, sob. I think this is the case for most working professionals – when you get in, you’re tired and you just want to snuggle up warm on these cold autumn days and watch a bit of tv. Well i don’t blame you, I do the same. So with that in mind I wanted to make some Halloween inspired nails but I really wanted the most minimal effort possible. Some may call it lazy, I call it genius.
The one I chose to adorn my nails with is a simple mesh of a bright purple polish, and a fun Halloween topcoat. The topcoat i’m using i actually picked up in America, but you can get the Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coats here in the UK – you just might have to order the Halloween ones online. Anyway, any green based glitter topcoat will do for this, the minute you add green on top of the purple it’ll make this amazing bewitching Halloween style nail. It literally takes minutes!
I did a couple of alternative designs as you can see on my swatch wheel above, using the Illamasqua bright orange Gamma shade you can get the same effect with the same topcoat by just putting it on the ends as a kinda backwards/alternative manicure.
I also did a really simple white background with black and white topcoat – mine was from Claire’s so nice and cost effective – as well as a half matte half shiny green one, kinda frankenstein vibes!
What do you think of my super easy Halloween nails? Some may call them a cheat, I say it’s our little secret… muahaahahahaha *flies off on broomstick.*
