Being a self proclaimed Lushie, i’m surprised it took me so long to finally visit the amazing first ever ‘Superstore’ on Oxford Street. With three floors, it also carries over 200 limited edition products that are totally exclusive to the store. I finally remembered it existed and popped down with George earlier this week, and of course could not resist grabbing some new bits to add to my bathtime routine!
I could have gone to town, but i’m really trying to save money at the moment for our house move at the end of the year, so I set myself a £15 budget limit, and these five things came to just more than that, so I left it there – but trust me there is a wealth of products!
I picked up three bath bombs as they’re both mine and George’s favourite, and they include the Intergalactic bath bomb (top photo) which is a little planet looking ball of colourful swirls, that has quite a woody, earthy smell with a dose of peppermint oil and a bunch of popping candy that leaves your skin fresh and tingly afterwards. It’s got gold glitter inside the middle too so the deep blue and the gold glitter makes a fun sparkly bath! I also grabbed The Experimenter, because it looks insane and there was no way I could leave it behind! This one also contains popping candy, and is made up of a bit of a mish mash of scents as well as colours. It’s a bit of a complex aroma and it does look like it rather disappointingly goes into a mash up of the colours and makes your bath water a bit murky, but nevertheless it’s dead fun and the scent is so unique!
I also picked up the Frozen bath bomb, inspired by the Disney film of course! It has much more of a softer floral scent, containing grapefruit and neroli, and it’s made up of a pretty soft blue and white colour – making a pretty ice blue bath even Elsa would enjoy!
I love the Granny Takes a Dip bath bomb that i’ve chatted about before, so I picked it up in bubble bar form so I could get a few more baths out of it, and to see how the scent would translate as a bubble bar. I can’t wait to try it out! I also picked up a bath oil, as i’ve not seen these before, and the one I went for is called Happy Thoughts. It’s got a pretty strong orange scent but it’s packed with neroli too, which I love the scent of in a bath. It’s made up of uplifting oils and shea butter, so while you’re sat in the bath water it’ll nourish the skin’s moisture back up to soft levels. I’ve heard of some people mixing these with a bath bomb to make an ultimate ‘cocktail’ so I might try breaking tiny pieces of this off and throwing into my normal baths to soften my skin over time!
Anyway those are just five of the 200+ new products at the LUSH Oxford Street store. I can’t wait to keep popping in over time and trying more and more of the new ones as little treats when shopping. The store itself is unreal. Set out beautifully and with their usual mix of helpful and chatty staff, it’s so nice to have it in such a prime place on Oxford Street – but I can’t lie – I do miss the little Covent Garden store I grew so fond of!
What do you think of the new LUSH Oxford Street store? Will you be heading in to grab any of these products? They’re not online, and only in this shop so let me know if you’re planning to pick up any!
