It’s been no secret over the years how much I love Illamasqua. When it first launched, it was quite overwhelming as I didn’t know where to start with it all, and the collections that came got better and better each time. Now it’s slowed down in the Illa camp as it settles in to being one of the UK’s most loved beauty brands, and as time goes on, they’re gradually adding new bits and bobs.
I’ve had quite a bit in the post through from Illamasqua lately and it’s been quite interesting to try all the different new ins. Some of which – namely the Matte Veil – i’m still trying out and forming my opinions on, but first up i’m just going to focus on the Glamore Nude lipstick collection. There are seven shades in total that are being added to the Glamore family and I have four of those seven to show you here. I’d not tried the Glamore formula before, so it was really nice to try a formula from Illamasqua that wasn’t really drying like their old formula. Here’s a look at the shades:
So straight up off the bat, I don’t think that Tease suits me at all. It’s really very pale, and I think is more suited to girls with a touch more tan than me as it just disappears into my skintone! I’m also not entirely sold on Naked either as I think it’s a bit too tan/orange coloured on me – but these are just on my pale skin. I really really love Rosepout – that one is my favourite – and i’m sold on Starkers too, not a shade i’d normally pick but it’s got a wicked 90s vibe about it right now.
All the lipsticks have a really soft and moisturising formula and is a significant improvement on Illamasqua lipsticks of the past. It’s a gorgeous satin style texture with a strong pigment payoff, and it’s totally ideal for those of you into your nudes once in a while – which we know I am partial to.
Rosepout has definitely found it’s way into my go-to nudes, bravo Illamasqua for such an amazingly pigmented, long wearing and beautiful formula. Check out the full nude range here and click below to see their bright shades of Glamore lipstick. What do you think?
