So TRESemme are the digital hair partners for the X Factor this year and they have challenged me to recreate some of the looks from the live finals. Lily is also taking part every other week from me to recreate the look and bring the live final style to your home so check that out on her blog!
As always, Tamera was styled by Jamie Stevens for TRESemme. I first washed my hair with the Pro Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, and spritzed when wet with the Pro Shine Liquid Texture Mist, and blow dried rigourously with my fingers to create movement and texture. It makes a kinda dishevelled look – perf. So Tamera obviously rocks a short bob, so I had to rework this for my long hair style by working the Lasting Hold Fixing Spray through my dry hair, and backcombing it as I went along.
I grabbed individual chunks of the pre-hairsprayed and texture misted hair and curled it using a curling tong. I let it all set to cold curly, then brushed it out with a wide paddle brush (TRESemme one, actually!) until it turned kinda undressed. Then I got a small comb, and backcombed part of it, before keeping the front bits aside and then swooping them next to the curled bits and pinning them behind to create a sort of textured bob like bit on the side – to get the same kinda vibes as Tamera.
Perfect. Well Tamera you may not have made it through to the finals, but at least you’re going home with a sweet bob, and skills on how to style it yourself! If you try out Tamera’s style like me, please tweet me using #tresemmetransformation, and make sure you stay tuned for more tips from Jamie Stevens backstage every week, i’ll see you in a fortnight for the very last hair step by step with TRESemme for the final! Will I be creating a Luke Friend special?! What do you think of this look? Even if you don’t have the same hair length as someone, you can still try their hair style!
