I don’t know about you but at the weekend I just like to lie around/mooch around in the most comfortable clothes I own most of the time. Especially when it’s as hot as it has been this weekend. That’s where this aptly named ‘slub’ dress from Urban Outfitters comes in handy. I’ve actually had it for about three weeks or so now but it immediately became my all-time-most-comfortable-dress-ever that I kinda forgot to actually shoot it!
George and I went for a little walk in our local park and of course it was my immediate throw on item, so we couldn’t resist a few outfit snaps. I know it’s probably a bit boring and honestly i’ve got like next to no makeup on here – legit only foundation, blush and mascara – but I thought it was a very ‘real’ representation of my life and me and therefore I actually really like this photoset.
Keeping it super natural, in theme with my comfy dress and no makeup makeup look, I delved into the long grass to take these pics. I absolutely love our local park, it’s so woodland-y and has a bunch of little hidden pathways and dirt tracks to walk around. Plus loads of little squirrels live in there, as well as it being a prominent place for people to walk their dogs. I love dogs so much, so just to see other dogs is always enjoyable! We really want to get a dog, but we don’t have a garden and it’s not fair. Plus we only live in a small rented flat so it’s definitely mean to keep a little puppy in here, as much as we want to!
I’ve been daydreaming a lot this weekend about making the jump one day from renting in London to buying a house here, and while it does seem like the impossible dream, if I were to make the sacrifice to move back out onto the outskirts of North London, it is doable. It’s such a hard thought to try and process as a young twenty something, the idea that one day I need to own my own house entirely – and in this current economic market, the house prices are constantly rising, making it seem like a bit of a dream. I have friends (albeit a bit older than me though) that have done it and I know it can be done, but for now I can daydream about having a house here in central London, ah one day. At the minute though i’m still fully in love with our rented London flat, but I do want to make it a bit ‘prettier’ inside!
Anyway, the best news about this whole blog post is that the dress i’m wearing here is now on sale in Urban Outfitters for half price! AMAZING. Click here to check it out in the Urban Outfitters Sale.
