A VARIANT ON MY USUAL HAIRSTYLE, READY FOR FASHION WEEK
So i’ve been playing about with colours in my hair lately – yeah okay, I know my hair is always colourful, but still. I put an all over yellow wash on for Reading and kinda fell in love with the acid neon green it created, sitting over my faded pastel green hair. I have my hair done by the team at Fudge due to my role in being a Fudge Urban Hair Ambassador, and so I headed into the salon to see Sue yesterday to get my hair prepped and primed ready for another season at London Fashion Week!
Sue created the look using entirely Fudge Paintbox dyes – these things pack a punch of colour I tell you! She used Turquoise Blue on the top, mixed with a bit of Electric Blue, and then Sue suggested putting in a smidge of Pink Moon, which was something new to me! It worked so well because it gave the blue a real richness, a thick bodied colour that now won’t fade as quickly. It also made it such a bold petrol/royal blue shade and oh my god, I am so far in love I can’t even begin to tell you.
Through the middle section she used a mix of Turquoise Blue and Green Envy, with a tiny touch of Yellow Fever just to keep it blending perfectly with the yellow. For the bottom colour, instead of applying just Yellow Fever on it’s own, she added a tiny touch of Green Envy just to make the yellow a bit warmer – which ironically meant that when it came out over my faded pastel hair it went this insane acid green!
Mixing colours like this might sound a bit complicated but it’s super super easy. Think of it like painting on a canvas, like you would in art class. Grab a piece of white paper and a mixing pot and play about with the shades. This look was created using entirely the Paintbox dyes, so it’s affordable and easy to do at home. Just have fun with it!
As for me? Well i’m now on dry shampoo watch until Friday as I daren’t wash it in time for Fashion Week! I absolutely adore it, and what you can’t see is that underneath my entire head is the blue, so when I tie up my hair it actually goes from blue to acid yellow in the tips… it’s absolutely amazing! What do you think?
